Art Walk Sometime

Who knows, I may yet display at another art walk, despite not being a real artist . . . they only like real artists at the art walk, don't you know.  But should I decide to fake it yet again ( Cabarrus Art Guild beware) I might show off the following pieces of my pseudoart.  Most are summery pictures I created fairly recently, except for the last picture, also recently created, which portrays a slice of cold weather. It's called "Frosty".

Eclipsing

Obviously, I could not allow the eclipse just slip past me without some commentary. Our neighbors Blaire and Jill were so kind to share their glasses with us, so we could actually view the eclipse. I also, decided to photograph the eclipse "through a glass darkly", or by viewing it in our pond.  Then, of course, there were those amazing shadows. They were a special treat. So behold.

Butterfly Magic

Butterflies  are magical creatures. They are so lovely with such glamorous designs that they almost make you believe in a creator. If it weren't for humans, a creator would seem almost plausible.
I captured a buttery cavorting amidst our lantana and could not resist showing her (him?) off. For your viewing pleasure.

Abstract Art

Abstracts are always potentially problematic, or potentially interesting, depending on your perspective. I like creating abstracts out of my nature photography. Whether the viewer likes them or dislikes them is the viewer's prerogative.
I created a set digitally (and this set I just modified somewhat) and I will now try to decide whether or not I should display them somewhere. It would seem that the Art Walks, my traditional display setting, may now be off limits for me, since the Arts Council no longer seems to have access to the Piedmont Center on Union Street. Generally, I choose not to display outside, but for the next Art Walk, even that option is closed, since all spaces are already taken.
Nonetheless, here are the digital images I might have displayed had I the opportunity. Whether I actually print these on canvas remains an open question.

The End

The End

So, with the closure of any indoor space sponsored by the Arts Council, there really is no available space I am able to use for the periodic Art Walks. The Council offers outdoor lawn space, but that seems to me too chancy, plus I do not have the equipment--tables, et al, I might need.

So, I am bidding a fond farewell to the Art Walk phase of my life.
For a while, I guess, I will leave up my artsy blog, but I imagine it will soon end also.
So, for the two or three folks who drop in to see my art, thanks for the interest, and you will now have to shift your attention to other, more deserving artists.

So long . . .and thanks for all the fish . . .

May

Water. I love water and watery pictures. Here are some I may use in an art walk, assuming I ever again venture forth into that world of artists.
