Art in Black & White

Art in Black & White
In the olden days, I used 35 mm film and a dark room. All my work was black and white. I loved black and white art. Now I produce in color, but I remain in love with black and white.
Some of these I have displayed in prior postings, especially the art from India. But what follows is my latest compendium of some of my nicer black and white images.

Art from India

Artful India
I am thinking of having a show at one of the Art Walks or some other artsy venue of some of my very old pictures from our stay in India.  India has changed greatly since our life there during the 1960s, so my art doubtless bears only a passing resemblance to the India of the 21st century.  Still, I remain fond of my  compositions and thought I might share some with my friends and some visitors. Whether I produce all or a sampling from this group remains uncertain, since there are so many pictures here. Most likely, some sampling, though.  One possibility for such an art show might be the Cabarrus Brewing Company, a growing art scene in downtown Concord.

April Art Walk

So, another Art Walk will soon arrive, April 8th I believe. Although I have been busy for a while converting some old photos to canvas for hanging in the upcoming Cabarrus Brewing Co's new brewery at the Depot downtown, I have now arrived at a definition of my works for the Art Walk.. After finishing the Cabarrus Brewery pieces, I waved my Adobe magic wand in front of the screen and the wand created some possible new works.  Isn't the Adobe magic wand wonderful? I don't have to do anything--Adobe does all the work, and I get to claim it. What a con. At any rate, here are the works I have decided to present in the April Art Walk. Most are on the abstract side of Mother Nature.

And finally, there is my version of Starry Night, a bit of abstract City Life.

November Art Walk

November 20th is the date for the next Art Walk in downtown Concord. I am trying to ready the following artsy pics for possible presentation at this showing in the Piedmont Renaissance Center.  Perhaps you will be interested enough to drop by and pay your respects. The tree lighting is also scheduled for that night, so you will have a double treat--Me and the tree lighting.
